Meet Eric Wren, LMFT

As a clinician, I value the uniqueness of each therapy relationship and approach my work with warmth, empathy, and logic. I believe therapy can be a highly-effective process when both creativity and research serve as the foundation that help move clients towards acceptance and healing. I am LGBTQIA+ affirming, and consider it a privilege to work with people with varying backgrounds and identities.

My practice consists of working with individuals and relationships. I find special interest in working with individuals dealing with family issues, adults who are navigating singleness & dating relationships, depression & anxiety, and those experiencing significant life transitions. I also continue to work with eating disorders and body image concerns, in both an individual and relational context.

I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist, and a Clinical Fellow & Approved Supervisor candidate of the American Association of Marriage & Family Therapists. For my education & training, I earned M.S. from The Family Institute at Northwestern University, followed by a Post-Masters Fellowship at Chicago Center for Evidence Based Treatment where I treated individuals with anorexia nervosa, bulimia nervosa, and binge eating disorder. I have received specialized training in Integrative Systemic Therapy (IST), Family Based Treatment (FBT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy for Eating Disorders (CBT).

Finding a therapist that's a personality fit & creates a safe, non-judgmental space for processing is key. Feel free to reach out by email and I look forward to connecting with you.
