Group Description: Our therapists, Anikó Blake, LMFT and Laura Hagen, LMFT, would like to welcome new members into a supportive and transformative group therapy. If you are looking to improve your social skills, get feedback about your communication and how you are perceived, and obtain support for issues happening in your life, Tides Women's Group (Tides) could be for you.
Tides provides a community for female identifying folxs who are in their twenties through thirties to discuss unique issues and topics that arise in adulthood. Example topics include family and intimate relationships, depression, anxiety, trauma, career, and other topics unique to female experiences. We recommend that future members are also in this age range, to best support group cohesion.
Group Size: The ongoing group consists of eight members at one time. A new spot becomes available when previous members terminate their membership. This occurs one to three times per year.
Time/Location: Virtual meetings occur every Tuesday from 7:00pm – 8:30pm CT via a HIPAA compliant video platform. Members must reside in Illinois in order to participate.
Cost: The cost for each session is $50 and, for those with insurance, the client's responsibility is based on their specific coverage. We are in-network with BlueCross/BlueShield PPO, Aetna, and UnitedHealthcare PPO. We cannot accept Medicaid and EAP plans.
Attendance: Members are expected to attend each weekly session until they are ready to leave the group, which can be after a few months or a few years– it depends on each member and their goals. We ask that new members commit to an eight week trial period to fully assess whether or not they wish to continue.
We conduct interviews to assess mutual goodness of fit. These are 50 minute interviews that are billable to insurance.
Contact: Please contact Laura and Anikó at tideswomensgroup@gmail.com to schedule an interview.

Teresa D'Astice and Emily Gabelman run a group for women who experience struggles around sex. The group is intended to provide psychoeducation related to women’s sexual health, reconstruct dysfunctional narratives around sex, and create a space for women to share experiences and support one another.
The group is open to women who struggle with sexual dysfunction, are survivors of sexual trauma, and/or experience negative feelings around sex. We accept insurance (BCBS PPO, Aetna, UHC) or $40 out of pocket per session. The group is open to Illinois residents and is on Tuesdays 6:00-7:00pm CT.
The group is currently held virtually.
Please feel free to reach out to us at WSIASccrc@gmail.com if you have any questions!
