More Than the Sum of Our Parts: Implementing a Systemic (Strength-Based, Relationship-Centered) Lens in Clinical Workplaces and Teams

from $120.00

This series of workshops will help attendants to develop/redefine a framework for the use of systemic thinking when engaging their clinical team and their subsequent work with clients and their cases. Ultimately, with the use of centering a systemic framework, attendants will be able to better support the clients that they serve by providing a more nuanced, contextual, and comprehensive plan for support and therapeutic treatment.

Location: Virtual (Zoom link will be sent out 24 hours in advance).

Cost: $120 per workshop (+ $30 for 3 CEUs / workshop), or $108/workshop if purchasing all 3

Bundle Savings: 10% savings if you purchase all 3 workshops

Dates: TBD, but will be two Fridays in April & one in May, from 9am-12pm.

Session Topics:

  1. Session 1: Centering Systemic Thinking

Objective: Attendants will investigate and increase their understanding and application of systemic thinking. Attendants will also articulate the impact of this interconnectedness within their own life and our societal systems and institutions at large on their workplace and role, the culture of their team, and their clients and their cases.

  2. Session 2: Initial Assessment Phase

Objective: Attendants will examine and identify ways to implement systemic thinking in key areas of the initial phase of therapy, including but not limited to rapport building, information gathering, collaborating with other team members (e.g. school officials, supervisors, and/or colleagues), case conceptualization, and the use of self-disclosure.

  3. Session 3: Throughout Treatment and Beyond the Therapy Room

Objective: Attendants will explore and employ systemic thinking in the development of documentation and treatment planning as well as connecting clients to community resources and support. Team members will apply systemic thinking to own relevant case examples, documentation, and therapeutic practice.

Attendants who will most benefit from this training are practice owners, those in clinical service leadership, and team members.

Resources Needed:

This training can be done virtually or in-person, depending on the needs of the team. To better support attendants, attendants should bring necessary information regarding their specific organization related to the history and hierarchy of their organization and the roles of their team to personalize each training session so that the materials and activities better reflect the make-up and needs of their program (i.e. roles of the different departments/teams and description of team roles/organization).
