Meet Melinda McDonald, LMFT
I believe that relationships are an essential element to our overall wellness. I understand that there are times when we may feel stuck in negative patterns and disconnected from those close to us. Counseling can provide a way to help clients navigate these struggles and promote health and growth in their relationships. By utilizing compassion and self-acceptance, I believe that we all have the ability to create positive change in our relationships and our lives.
I am a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist committed to treating individuals, couples, and families from all backgrounds. In sessions, I use an open, collaborative approach with my clients to empower healing, wellness, and goal development and achievement. During the process of growth and change, I work to provide a safe space where clients can feel accepted and supported. I strive to incorporate warmth, genuineness, and humor to create a strong therapeutic relationship. I am LGBTQIA affirming.
I received my bachelor's degree from Bradley University and my master's degree in marriage and family therapy from the Family Institute at Northwestern University. I am trained in several therapy models and use an integrative approach to treatment.
Melinda currently sees clients at our Northside location. She can be reached by phone at 773-750-3600.
